For those of you that live around NYC, can anyone tell me if a taxi would be the best way to get from a hotel around JFK to the ship, and around what the price would be. Also would JFK or LGA be better.

For those of you that live around NYC, can anyone tell me if a taxi would be the best way to get from a hotel around JFK to the ship, and around what the price would be. Also would JFK or LGA be better.

LGA is better its closer.

I personally would use a local car service as there are three ways to get from JFK to the terminal that will vary in a yellow cab from $40-70.00. Unlike trips to Manhattan which has a fixed fee to and from JFK, Brooklyn is on the meter plus tip.

From LGA it should cost about $30.00 by cab or car service.

Make sure you have the directions since most cabs don't know where the terminal is(its behind the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel in Brooklyn)...this is less of a problem with car services.
