watching the planes land

Could someone tell me the name of the beach you go to so you can see the planes land right over your head?? Is it in St. Thomas?? Thanks!!!

I want to thank you for the answer, as well, Randy (and others). Had forgotten about that experience, and will be going to SM in September. Will try to make it over there during our stop. Again, thanks!

It is actually Maho Beach. Sunset Beach Bar is the bar/grill that is right on the edge of the beach. They actually have the airports control tower on the speaker system and you can here the pilots talking to the tower as they approach. It really is a cool pace to hang out and have a drink. The under tow at the beach can be quite strong. If a large jet is taking off away from the beach (the jet thrust pointed at the beach itself) be warned....it can and will sandblast you if you are on the beach! You can do a "google" and just type in Maho Beach and you can see ton's of pictures, including links the the webcams at the Sunset Beach Club bar.
