Flying out of Southampton?

We are sailing on the QM2 into Southampton on 10/13/07 and are looking at flying from Southampton to Dublin, Ireland. Does anyone have any experience flying from SOU? Most of the posts are regarding transports from Southampton to London. I'm not sure if it's easy to get to the airport in Southampton from the cruise terminal.

Only a short taxi ride away. (Bournemouth Airport should also be investigated although it is bit further away, but much nearer than Heathrow/Gatwick, etc))

Yes Southampton airport is fairly nearby and Flybe have direct flights to Dublin and they aren't expensive. There is a snag though and that is luggage, so unless you pack light you'll need to store your baggage in Southampton.
