near the elevators=bad????

We got our cabin..Deck 2 cabin #2316 on Explorer of the seas.

 

It looks like we are right across from the elevator.

Is this a double edge sword?

We'll be close to it but will hear everyone all day/night and the noise?

 

Tell me it will be ok!

I prefer rooms near elevators...I've never had a problem with noise and it is sure nice to walk out your door and be right there!

The elevators are actually in an alcove so I don't really think there is a noise problem.

What everybody else said + the fact that the only elevator traffic making it down to deck 2 should be those who have rooms on that deck! :D

I love having rooms near the elevators. The rooms are easy to find and close to the elevator so that we don't have to walk to find it that much (not that it will matter, because the freedom is such a big ship, we will walk anyway). There is not much to no noise by the elevators, just the people that have a room on that deck, which only leave in the morning, and come back at night.

We have never had a problem with elevator noise.

 

The main advantage is that if you over imbibe you have a shorter distance to crawl to your cabin. :D

Noise wise, I'm sure being across from the elevator is no problem.

 

That is unless a group of drunken teenagers that have rooms on your deck come bursting out of the elevators at 3 a.m. in the morning.
