Delta Vancouver vs Blue Horizon Hotels

Recommended Posts

I have stayed at the Blue Horizon but over 30 yrs ago. It is an older hotel but well located on Robson street.

The Delta suites is a much newer hotel only a few years old and located closer to Gastown and the dock. With the Blue Horizon when you walk out the door there are lots of coffee shops etc right there - with the Delta Suites you will have to walk to GasTown (about 2 blocks) to get to restaurants etc. Not as desireable a neighbourhood - but still OK

If it were me I would take the Delta Suites over the Blue Horizon.

I have never stayed in the Blue Hoizon, but have stayed at the Delta and really liked it. It was great because the living room was completely separate from the bedroom, so if someone wants to sleep, they can and others can be in the living room without disturbing the tired one! It is also pretty centrally located. I didn't have a car, but was able to get to all places either by walking or taking public transportation.

Hope this helps!

It's been a few years since I was in the Blue Horizon but I think I'd also take the Delta Suites. If you want a third alternative, take a look at the Westin Bayshore. It's on the harbour next to a walkway that goes to Stanley Park at one end and up into the downtown area at the other. Not as close to shopping as the Delta or Blue Horizon, though.
