How to get from Miami Airport to Port Everglades?

My wife and I need to get from Miami airport to the port in Fort Lauderdale. Can anyone recommend the most convenient way to get to the port. Can anyone recommend a car service or is there a better way to go? Any information will be helpful.

I didnt want to use the Cruise line transfer. I dont like the idea of waiting around the air port for a bus to fill up or other peoples flights to land. I want to land and get going. I have an early flight and I would rather get to the port earlier then later.

Saw posted on another thread that Larrys Limos is reputable, fast and reasonable. Might check with them. Bill
