hince57 Posted June 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2007 Can anyone make excursion recommendations for our upcoming (7/29) trip to Cozumel? This is my first vist to the forum, and I'm guessing that Playa Uvas and Paradise Beack are popular destinations, but are young children an appropriate demo for those spots? tia. LRene Posted June 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2007 Paradise Beach - YES! Playa Uvas - NO. Uvas has a very rocky beach entry into the water. They have a few children that come there but don't really cater to families with small children. I enjoy going there but not with kids. Paradise is ideal for small children because it's very sandy and slopes slowly in the water. There are no big waves and they have lifejackets for the kids. Take a few sand toys are you are set for an enjoyable day!
Nebr.cruiser Posted June 30, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2007 We did Paradise Beach with kids 3,4,5 & 5 two years ago (cousins, not all one family!) and it was perfect for that age group. They played in the sand and water for hours, and we adults and a teenager enjoyed it too. It has a nice sandy beach, mostly calm water, water toys available if wanted and is very clean. Do bring sand toys; we also brought the kids swim vests.
