Renting gear onboard

Going on Legend 10/21/07. Information on Carnival website indicates snorkel gear can be rented onboard. I am trying to find out how much it costs to rent full snorkel gear including vest to compare to buying my own and taking along. Anyone out there rent snorkel stuff onboard?

Carnival no longer rents snorkel equipment, they do have limited supply that you can buy for around 15.00, its best to check out a local dive shop to get good fitted equipment. If you do not want to spend the money for quaility stuff, then you can try Walmart or Target.

Thanks Fred for the prompt reply. I had posted this earlier this moneth, and I believe I got the same reply then. I would not have posted again except I did run across a page on the Carnival website that listed items for rent, and snorkel gear was on there. I had hoped they still rented as I do not want to pack all the gear along (or purchase it for just a couple of outings). I guess I will go ahead and buy.

Snorkelplenty - After our 1st cruise and watched how the equipment was barely dipped in disinfectant after use, we decided to buy our own. My DH carries it on the plane in his backpack so we don't use precious clothing space in our suitcases!
