Deb K. Posted August 17, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2004 My husband has suggested that we rent scooters on one of the islands on our southern Caribbean cruise. Never done this before but am willing to give it a shot. Anything we should be aware of? Potential problems or which island is the best to see by scooter? Thanks for the info. jean-lynd Posted August 17, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2004 I would suggest you do it near the end of your cruise. Friends of ours did it in Grand Cayman which was our first port of call. Hubby fell and broke his collar bone - they almost missed the ship because they had trouble getting him discharged from the hospital. It really put a damper on the rest of their cruise. Just an FYI. Deb K. Posted August 17, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted August 17, 2004 Wow! That's too bad about your friend's husband. That would really spoil the cruise. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.
NiniB Posted August 17, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2004 i was just about to suggest that... be VERY careful almost all the cruises i've been on i run into someone who's fallen off one....:( so if your not familiar with driving a scooter i would not suggest driving one on the islands as a FIRST TIMER... JUST MY TAKE......:)
