Atlantis + Beach Break excursion info needed

I am going on Royal Caribbean cruise in October, and we are thinking of booking the Atlantis Tour + Beach Break 6 hour excursion through the cruise line.

 

I KNOW that this does NOT include the water park and pool facilities which is fine with us, but I wanted to know exactly what it did include for people that did it.

 

So do you get to go to Aquarium, get food tickets for the Dive In Snack Bar (What food do they serve there that is covered in ticket?) and go to the beach for a few hours?

 

My husband wants to know if you can still walk around the facility as a whole....even around the water park areas and pool areas, even though you cant go IN them. We would love to browse around to see if we would like to take a land vacation here in future.

 

Please tell me your experiences with this excursion. We are trying to decide between that or Breezes inclusive excursion.

Hi- We did this excursion last year, from the Sovereign, and had a great time. First, we took the water taxi (with a guide) to Atlantis, walked to the beach area where we were given a chair. Stayed at the beach until noon- had lunch at the snack bar- hamburgers, fries etc.

 

We then walked around the area- very nice walking paths- then went to the Aquarium, then to the Casino. You can walk everywhere. Later, we walked to the water taxi area for a ride back to the ship. Just be sure to wear your comfortable walking shoes!

Ok, so I am SUPER jealous you get to gon on the Wonder and I cannot. We couldnt work out a deal to go so you have to to tell hubby what kind of deal you got and how you got it. I miss Disney so much!

 

As for Atlantis, for our sailing, I found out that Atlantis is closing off its facility for cruise guests due to it being a holiday weekend and Atlantis being booked, so they are not even offering the normal excursions through RCI for Atlantis they normally do...even the one I mentioned in here! I was really bummed out by that!!! So looks like no Atlantis for me AGAIN this trip. I have no idea what to do now, maybe Breezes for the day? If you guys find anything good beach wise, please please let us know. We just want to relax for the day at a pool/beach or something. Oh and go to Senor Frogs for some fun of course :)
