Hotels in NO

Has anyone stayed at the Homewood Suites in NO? If so, how convenient to FQ is it or streetcar stops? Thought would check out the sites pre cruise Fantasy 8/6. Anyone else on that one? Thanks

Hopefully you will get some comments. We booked the same for November.

Haven't stayed there but I know where it is: about seven blocks to the French Quarter, a pretty easy walk. The closest streetcar stop is at Carondelet, two blocks away, and it only goes to Canal Street, so that won't be much help.

 

A cab back from the French Quarter would be about $6.00.

Thanks for the info, I will post on the HW Suites on return. May need the cab ride back, appreciate the $ info. I wasn't getting responses so figured no one had info. Usually the FQ is the place, but we are a party of 4 and thought the suites would be the way to go for the price.
