Hi,

We are planning to go to the Isla Verde beach area while in port on the Crown Princess in August by cab.

Does anyone know which area we should ask the cab driver to bring us to on Isla Verde for the best beach area???

Or, should we just tell the cab driver to take us to Isla Verde?

Also, does anyone know if 4 people can fit in one cab and about how much is the cab fare to Isla Verde? I beleive we are docking at the Old San Juan Pier.

Thank you in advance for any Info!!!

We took a taxi van. Held all 10 of us. $4 per person. There is a road that dead ends at the beach between hotels (forgot the name). You'll probably get dropped there. Chair rental too. We told our driver when we would be going back and he showed up to take us right on time.

Bring some chips or bread and fish will swim right up to you.

Where you able to find a taxi van when you got off the ship at Old Suan Pier? Or did you book ahead? There are 11 of us, (4 are skinny teens.) Do you think we would fit ?

Also, Did you enjoy Isle Verde Beach? Thank you for the tip for feeding the fish, my daughter will love that!!!!

Thanks so much,

just back from 7/5 sailing...As soon as you get off the ship there will be small buses lined up. They will approach you, don't worry. I was concerned that we had nothing booked either. We had a great driver, suggested we stop at a 7-eleven type store to buy snacks and beer and coolers. He dropped us right off at a store and we walked down the dead end street to the beach. He actually came on the beach to let us know he was there to bring us back to the ship...Great guy, lots of fun! $4.00 pp each way.

Suzadoll...we were a group of 19...It was actually one of those mini buses. He took our group only, it was like a private tour. You will see them all lined up as soon as you exit the dock area, and he charged us only $4.00 pp.

Isla Verde is where the airport is located. As you travel west, the next mayor area is Condado (where the Comfort Inn is located) and the major area west after that is Old San Juan. 20-25 minutes from one end to the other if the traffic's light and you catch a green wave with the OSJ traffic lights...
