Have you tried http://www.venere.com? Also, hotels.com, expedia.com. When we stayed there last year, I believe I booked through Expedia and at the time, they were the lowest ones.

We're also looking into booking The Jazz Hotel for our stay in Barcelona.

I just returned about 5 days ago from Hotel Jazz. It was a wonderful hotel in a wonderful location, you could walk to everything. Please take my advice though and ask for a room facing away from the street. Also know that you will hear and feel the vibration of the metro below during the day about every 5-10 minutes. It did not bother me at all but it may bother some. If you have the money though, check out hotel 1898. It is the sister hotel of Hotel Jazz right on Las Rambles and I peeked my head inside and it was amazing! A little too expensive for my budget though.

What floor were you on that you heard and felt the vibration from the metro? Also, does it run thru the night or only during the day?
