illusions_on_the_sea Posted July 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Hi, I'm posting these questions for a friend of mine, whose computer has crashed and can't post it herself. Ok, she and her DH are going on Carnival Liberty (8 day cruise) in Nov and taking their 2 DDs (ages 4 and 1). They want to put down a cash deposit instead of using a credit card. Anyone know the amount of the deposit they will be required to put down and if Carnival will make them put a deposit down for the two kids? Any help would be appreciated. dms_cruisers04 Posted July 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Carnival states $300 for 8-day cruises. That would be for everyone. And they will need to book the kids at the same time if they are staying in the same room.

illusions_on_the_sea Posted July 6, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Did you mean $300.00 each or $300.00 in total?
dms_cruisers04 Posted July 6, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Did you mean $300.00 each or $300.00 in total? Each. Per person. Everyone pays the $300. :o Sorry, in rereading that is does sound like I meant total.
illusions_on_the_sea Posted July 6, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Thanks a lot! Wow, I can't believe they would charge $300.00 for a 4 year old and an infant!! Wowser!
gfsmith Posted July 6, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Thanks a lot! Wow, I can't believe they would charge $300.00 for a 4 year old and an infant!! Wowser! You can get by with less then $300 pp We put $600 total on a 7 day cruise for 4 people (2 adults 2 kids) with no problem. If everyone is in the same cabin and on the same account you can get by with $500-600 total for a SS deposit, anything they don't spend will be returned to them at cruise end. Just remember gratuities are $320 for 4 people on a 8 day cruise if not prepaid. so it wouldnt leave much spending room :)
