Tess:

Were you 14 at Prime C around 8 on Monday night?

No, we were 19 at Prime C around 8 on Sunday night. Though there were a few casino visits here and there, no one had sons along on this trip.

It was a good trip.

The casino had a roulette table, a three card pakor table and 5 blackjack tables (one never used.) There was also an electronic poker table used mostly for tournaments (and other than that, rarely used). The casino dealers were incredibly friendly.

I like to see what numbers have come up on Roulette - they do not have that info like every other casino at seas that I have seen - I did not play except the match play coupons I had. The tables were great though.

I preferred Aqualina - the service and the menu was outstanding. (Prime C was also very good). We ate at Aqualina twice. The way they prepare the ossa bucco is incredible.

In either place, if you go while at sea going to Bermuda, go later in the evening and ask for a table in the rear - the sunset from a table on the back of the ship was beautiful. If you go to Aqualina while in port, ask for a table on the side and watch the houses across the bay during sunset.

Hi Joe,

Last year you were on the Journey in three Royal Suites. Can you please tell me which ones are larger?

The Azamara web site says the rooms range from 430 to 508 and the verandas range from 220 to 235.

I can't be certain looking at the deck plan if deck 7 contains the larger rooms.

Thank you,

Kathy

Due to the configuration of the bow deck 6 has a slightly larger veranda. I hope you are aware of the noise factor in those cabins..also the wind and the motion. If not, check with your TA.

Kathy:

We stayed in one suite on 6 and visited my son and father-in-law in the other one on 6. They seemed to be identical in size, but a little hard to tell because they are mirror images of each other. We did not get up to my daughter's suite on 7, but it would not surprise me if it was a touch smaller than ours on deck 6 from the contour of the ship as you go to higher decks.

Since we were in the very front of the ship, we really did feel the movement of the ocean. One day in pretty high seas was rather tough to stay in the suite. I would think this was even more pronounced on deck 7 compared to deck 6. Also, because the verandas face froward, the wind on the veranda when you are at sea can be pretty pretty stiff. I am not sure I would pay the top dollar required for that suite. We were upgraded to that suite (and would not think of turning it down!)

Joe,

Thanks for the info. We've been in the Penthouse and loved it. Thought maybe to try looking forward rather than back, even knowing about the wind. We'll see.

Thank you,

Kathy
