pools, casinos?

Casinos are closed when the ship is in port. The pools are open. Hopefully you are on a ship with a covered pool - makes swimming a little more pleasant in cooler temps. Hot tubs are open, too.

the pools depend on the ship and you. We definitely had warm enough temps(one day) and the water was great on the Coral Princess, but we chose to go in the "indoor" pool. There were plenty of people using all of the pools and hot tubs, but Princess' pools are heated. Not hot, but not frozen.

BUT... remember to plan ahead, I didn't think I wanted to swim, didn't bring trunks, no where to get em or get em reasoably priced anyway.
