Whale watching report Juneau 5/7 & 5/8

5/7/04 First "Cow & Calf" Humpbacks , of the Juneau season. The calf is very small and we were fortunate enough to see it (& the mother) breach quite a few times. It may be a very good year for cow/calf sightings, as the reports from Hawaii this winter were for an exceptionally high number of newborn calf sightings.

5/8/04 -
Cow & calf sighted again. More breaching.
AF & AG pod (orca) sighted as well.
30 + animals. Awesome!

Weather report is for 7 more straight days of sunshine!
