Excurions for the Elderly

Has anyone been on the Glass bottom boat excursion? My 90 year old mother in law is cruising with us. We will be taking a wheel chair so that she wont have to walk around for her sake and ours(slow LOL). Would she be able to go on this excursion? Do any of you have any suggestions for her?

I know when we did the glass bottom boat you had to be able to go down the narrow stairway to the bottom in order to see anything. I would say there is no way to get a wheel chair down those stairs. I know there isn't much room on top of the boat either. I hope this helps.

Enjoy your cruise!!

We just returned yesterday from the Bahamas. :D I took my elderly wheelchair bound mother with me-while some of the group did a snorkeling trip-others took mom on a tour of Nassau & trip to Andastra Gardens then we all met & went to Atlantis resort. It would be most difficult to do any of the small boat excursions with a moblility limited person.:p
