Sheraton Old San Juan

Has anybody ever stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan in the last few months prior or post cruise? If so, did you like it, would you recommend it?

It has been longer than a few months ago but we stayed there post cruise when it was the Wyndham. We were upgraded to a concierge suite and it was absolutely huge! The room was great and it is very convenient as you can walk around town to shops, restaurants etc.

 

The only downside was checking in. We got there after our cruise and you could not move in the lobby. It was around 11:30 and there were people and luggage everywhere! We didn't expect to be able to get into our room then, but we did want to check luggage with a bellman and leave. It took us almost 30 minutes to do that! Anyway, we would stay there again.

I stayed there 2 nights pre-cruise a couple years ago. I had no problems with check-in as I was there before most of the other cruise ship passengers. The rooms are nice and it is located right in the heart of Old San Juan. Great location for walking around and enjoying the old city. I would recommend the hotel.

I recommend the hotel also. I had a one bedroom suite but my friends had a huge suite (they were upgraded). It is a good hotel for cruisers.

We stayed there in May of 2006 and it was lovely. Right in the old city within walking distance of everything, including the citadels. We would stay there again, anytime. There are a number of lovely restaurants within a few minutes walk and the rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was attentive.
