Spirit / Victory

Recommended Posts

We'll know in three weeks. Our first cruise was Spirit to Alaska last summer. Fantastic ship. We're sailing to Canada in three weeks on the Vicoty. I'm sure it will be a different experience but looking forward to some relaxation.

mom23guys,

We've been on the Victory, and we're sailing on the Spirit Jan 1 to the Mexican Riviera. You'll LOVE the Victory. I found her a very pretty, very elegant ship, easy to get around in, etc. The sea theme is carried well throughout, and the dining room food was wonderful! We sailed the Victory in Jan 2006 out of Miami, and yes, she was in very good condition. Somewhere there is my review. Let me see if I can find it for you.

Kelly, As we all know being on any ship is great. I was just on the Victory for the second time in April. While I think it's a nice ship I love all the Spirit class ships a lot better. I just think the floor plan is much nicer, the fact that there are less passengers is also a huge plus. I just booked the Spirit for a second time for next April. Have a great cruise....

Thank you all so much for your responses...I know this may sound bad to a few but its important to me that my surroundings be clean and in good repair..:)..If the Victory is half as well maintained as the Spirit Ill be happy..:)

The few questions about the Spirit you guys asked..

CD was Shawn Debussy

DELI WAS AWESOME! Loved the hot pastrami on rye..The deli seemed to be opened most of the time! and yes there was a laundry room but I cant remember which decks they were on...

topsports/Solo Don - Deli in the Lido Deck Buffet - Very Good! There is a menu of sorts on the counter, but they will make you anything you want as long as the have the ingredients to do it. Mom likes plain Turkey on White with Lettuce & Tomato only and I like Roast Beef (Rare yet!) with cheese and Mayo on White Grilled ................ just ask they'll make it. Most folks think they can only order whats on the menu board.

Laundry Rooms that I've been to - Deck 7 Aft, Deck 6 Forward Port side, Deck 5 Aft. Don't know about the other decks, but I think there are a few more. Your cabin steward will be able to tell you. Wash & Dry $2.00 each, Detergent & Fabric Softener $1.00 each. Quarters only. You can get them in rolls from the casino.

Will be on the Spirit for the 5th time this coming October (and maybe next April also) - Love her, Love her, Love her. Been on the Legend 3 times and Pride once.

Also on Sea Days from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on the Aft Lido grill area is a Sundae bar with hand scooped ice cream (Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry and Butter Pecan) and all the toppings you could want including Whipped Cream, just grab a bowl, hand it to the guy behind the counter and tell him what kind you 'd like, he has the Hot Fudge/Chocolate sauce back therer also and the cans of Whipped Cream, the other toppings are on the counter. Can't tell you how many times I watch folks serve up the Soft Serve and put the toppings on it, becaus ethey don't read about the hand scooped stuff, should see there faces when they watch me (and my daughter) get hand scooped .............. it's kind of funny, then they try to figure out where to ditch the bowl with the softserve in it.

Have a great time .................. again ... I love this ship!

We just got back from Alaska and we loved the Spirit. She was beautiful and in very good condition..

We are thinking about booking on the Victory...Will we like her??Is she in good condition??

Was there a department onboard set up to sell future cruises? If so, do they offer any incentive to book onboard???
