Thanks CC'ers for all the incredible information you post. Being informed sure makes the trip more fun!!

 

Can anyone recommend which is the better way to watch bears from Ketchikan, the 5 hr boat trip or a 2.5 hr seaplane trip? I am cruising the week of August 17 and would appreciate your comments on the best way to enjoy bear watching.
