COSTA Transfer from FCO to Civitavecchia cheap!!

I called Costa about a transfer from FCO airport in Rome to the ship in Civitavecchia and was quoted only $32 bucks US. Sounds like a steal as I expected to pay at least $85. Anyone have similar experience prices wise. Otherwise I was going to deal with the train.

That's the right price from Costa. There were two of us and we opted for train, very easy as long as you travel light.

Where did you get this price? When we booked a cruise from Rome via the travel web site last November,they provided a transfer that cost $317 per car one way from the airport to the port. We didn't take it and got a private limo for 120 euros one way at the airoport. How did u get this price with Costa? Let us know. We're going to Venice in November, 07 and would love to spend as less as we can for a transfer.

I just called up Costa and asked if there was a transfer available.

We have booked the transfers with Costa for our October trip. The UK price in the brochure is £17pp each way and that is what we have been invoiced. It is much cheaper than any other transfers we could find for the 3 of us.

Costa´s offering the transfer from FCO to port in cicitavecchia since spring 2007, it´s 25 Euro p.p. oneway, I believe a pretty good price and quite comfortable.

Yeah, I just called Costa and asked about a price from from Venice Airoport to the port and they told me that it's $15 pp. The only thing is that they run the shuttles every hour and if you missed one you'd have to wait. The taxi is 35 euros and you can catch it anytime. For 2 of us it's not a very big save, especially if you're limited to the time.

I think this is based on shared-transfer arrangement. Usually there are other Costa cruise passengers on the same flights or flights arriving at similar time. They will be met at the airport and escorted to a coach / van, depending on the number of passengers.

 

As far as I remember, for most transfers, I had to sit on a coach. There was one time when me and my partner took out a pre-cruise hotel stay in Venice that we had private transfer in a mini-van.
