stunned Posted July 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2007 I just received stateroom assignment for balcony guarantee. How do I find out if I did good on the gamble of a guarantee? Glory - room 7393. I'm just curious, we will be happy with any room - our first balcony.
gottacruisesoon Posted July 20, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2007 The last time we were just one floor below where you are. It looks like you did good. Here is a link to the floor plan. http://carnival.com/Deck_Plan.aspx?shipCode=GL Have a great cruise!
Rare finoky Posted July 20, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2007 Your cabin will be on Empress deck towards the aft but not all the way back. The elevators and stairs are just down the hall from you. There are passenger cabin decks above and below you. I would say that is an excellent location. The link below is to Carnival's website where you can see for yourself. http://www.carnival.com/Deck_Plan.aspx?shipCode=GL
ashleycrew Posted July 20, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2007 We are in our first balcony next month on the Liberty room 1005. I am worried I am going to be addicted thus my cost of cruising goes up.
BULLOCH12 Posted July 20, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2007 where it's at isn't bad, were you looking for a room with twin beds that couldn't be converted?
GeeBee1022 Posted July 20, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2007 This is a cool link I learned about here on CC. It will show you exactly where you are. Looks pretty good to me! But of course, I've never had a balcony. http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Carnival/glory.php
stunned Posted July 20, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted July 20, 2007 Thanks for the links - I am really happy now that I see what is above us. We were on another ship and under the casino - noisy, but nice room. Any room is nice as long it is on a ship!!

stunned Posted July 20, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted July 20, 2007 I thought for a moment we were going to do some bed hopping, glad you cleared that up. I feel better now.
mjohns2 Posted July 20, 2007 #10 Share Posted July 20, 2007 never mind what i said, they do convert Are you sure. It has a star.... * = "Twin beds do not convert to a king-size bed"
UlvaZell Posted July 20, 2007 #11 Share Posted July 20, 2007 That's a good cabin. Same cabin layout as our last cruise. You're also near the stairs/elevators...
Rare finoky Posted July 20, 2007 #12 Share Posted July 20, 2007 Are you sure. It has a star.... * = "Twin beds do not convert to a king-size bed" That is incorrect. The "star" means that the cabin has a sofa as well as the two twin beds that can be moved together. I am going to go out on a limb and 100% gaurantee you that your beds will already be together when you arrive.
BULLOCH12 Posted July 21, 2007 #13 Share Posted July 21, 2007 that's right, as i was told the eight sided star means they can't be put together, otherwise they will be put together. sorry no hopping:o

gail811 Posted July 21, 2007 #16 Share Posted July 21, 2007 We have that same cabin booked next year for our sons and their friend. We were on the Upper deck this year on the Glory and could hear the noise from the clubs below. We booked as soon as we got back so we could all get on the Empress deck this year. We managed to get the corner aft again.....can't wait!
mattmdv Posted July 21, 2007 #17 Share Posted July 21, 2007 We did our first balcony on the Legend in May and LOVED IT!!! Looking at a balcony for our next cruise too. It was so nice, get out of bed, walk out onto the balcony and enjoy the view. You will love it!! Matt
MikeM Posted July 21, 2007 #18 Share Posted July 21, 2007 Great location, especially if you are assigned to the Platinum Dining Rm. Take elevator and it lets you out at the door at the front of the line. Plus up 2 decks to the Lido food area. MikeM AP
KatSt Posted July 21, 2007 #19 Share Posted July 21, 2007 We just returned from the Liberty last week. We were in cabin 1043 which is a balcony cabin. It was nice and quiet. Not many cabins on the Panorama deck. The even side cabins got better views in port than our side did, so cabin 1030 should have nice views when you're stopped. It was a little inconvenient for us to always have to walk down to either Lido or Promenade deck to get to the back of the ship. We were in the Silver dining room which was at the back of the ship. Only the front and glass elevators go to deck 10. The middle elevators go there too, but you end up at the Supper Club. Next time I would like to stay in a cabin on the Lido deck. That seemed the best of both worlds. All elevators go to deck 9 and there aren't too many cabins.
