How to get to NYC pier

I will be arriving in NYC either at Port Authority Bus Terminal or Penn Station 2/23/08 and need to get to the pier. I use an electric scooter and need a van type cab for transfer. I can walk a little and scooter does fold down but we don't want to have to take it apart at either location. We will have scooter, a folding tranport wheelchair and about 3 pieces of luggage. I have been unable to get any cab info re if van types are available. Help! Kathi

Van Types are available and are about 1/3 of the Taxi fleet. You should be able to get one relatively easily but I don't know whether they can accommodate your chair without taking it apart.
