NYC-Day Bag Storage Before Cruise

I'm taking part in a family cruise on NCL Dawn in October. Our flight arrives JFK at 5:30AM but the ship sails at 4PM. We would like to check out a few places in NYC in the time before departing but don't like the idea of dragging our bags around. Does anyone know of anyplace to stash our luggage until we check-in at the port?
