Location of airport and pier in Honolulu, Oahu

Does anyone know how close the airport in Honolulu is to the pier where the Pride of America (and presumably all the ships) leaves from? Which hotels and condos are closest to each of them? What's the best way to get between the pier and airport? Thanks for your help.

The airport is about 10-15 minutes away depending on traffic. Taxi may be your best bet. I had a transfer thru NCL that picked us up at the airport in a polynesian tour bus and dropped us off at the pier. Really easy. You might check with them as another option but a taxi may be best. Thrifty Rentals sends shuttles from their lot or the airport to the pier but if you didn't rent a car, you can't use that option. I can't help you with the hotel question. I didn't stay in Honolulu.

There are some hotels at the airport, but really, I wouldn't recommend staying there. Also some "business" hotels a few blocks from the pier, but they are more geared to the business traveler. Your best bet for hotels/condos would be Waikiki. Closest to the pier, Ala Moana, Ilikai, Hawaii Hilton and several others. Waikiki is about 4 miles east of the pier, the airport about 6 to the west. As Lisa said, 10-15 minutes to pier to/from airport, if there's no traffic and all lights are green, or 30-60 minutes or more if the traffic gods aren't smiling on you:)
