shark_bait Posted July 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2007 Looking for some quick help. Leaving this Saturday out of Boston to Bermuda. Also wondering if Formal Nights are well attended for this cruise? Thanks in advance for your help.
Warmer Climes Posted July 25, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2007 I wouldn't call it "formal night" at all. It's Monday night and I'm not even sure the Freestyle Daily even mentioned it. I attach a thumbnail to show you what DH and I wore, and I would say that about one third of the diners were this dressed up. Have a great trip! Don Haynes Posted July 25, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2007 There are no longer any formal nights, or optional formal nights with NCL. Never-the-less the first sea day is formal night, and many use the second to last night aboard to dress formally. NCL now calls them dress up or not night. And recently I have read on some ships one of the main dining rooms have a tougher dress code than the other. Please read the Freestyle daily. Resort casual, a collared shirt and a pair of slacks is always welcomed at any restaurant on any NCL ship for dinner. For a cruise to Bermuda I would say about 30-40 percent will bother to dress up formally.
KeystoneCruiser Posted July 25, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2007 They no longer call them "Optional Formal Nights." The new term is "Dress as you like night." Like Don said, only 30-40% will actually dress up and that will range from shirt/tie to tuxes. The rest will be in resort casual...polo shirts/kahki pants/sneakers, etc. Resort casual is acceptable in all dining venues on all nights, but you are also welcome to dress up any night you want. The joy of Freestyle, the ability to dress as you want!

luv2gocruzin Posted July 27, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2007 If you DO choose to dress up, do they still have the photographer set up to take your picture?
