Best Cruise Ever!!

Just back from the Legend (7-15/7-22) and it was the best cruise I've ever been on. Lets face it, I'm a critic on everything in life and I have not one thing to complain about on this cruise. The ship, food, crew, fellow cruisers, comics and ports of call were all great. They enforsed the adult pool and hot tub, no chairs hogs (well maybe 2 who learned about losing towels), loved the classic rock music at the adult pool. Great guitar player in the casino, he really rockrd out, never heard any country music. The cabin steward keep my cooler full of ice and cleaned out the mini bar so I could store some choc milk and that great passion/guyva(sp?) juice for our enjoyment during the day. Plenty of nice folks for DW to hang out with so I got some Me time. F.O.D. you folks were the best, we miss you already. I will post a review in the review section Friday now that my computer is back from repairs. Also if anyone has any questions, please post them and I will answer them starting at 8am tomorrow, which if you can't guess is the time I start work. Thank-you and have a great day.

Just have to echo what Islahopper (Surprise!!) has said...this was my first cruise and it was a BLAST!!!!!! :D I am hooked and can not wait to go again. I think that the rest of the world could learn from the cruiser set...all I met were friendly, happy people who were having as much fun as I did. BTW, what is a DW? I too shall post more later , but wanted to throw my 2 cents in for now. The other 98 cents will follow.

Shorthand for "Darling Wife"...or "Damned Wife". I guess it would depend on the relationship. :D

I can't wait to read your review. Our first time on the Legend is coming up and I'm reading everything I can about it. One quick question. Did you find it easy to find your way around the ship? My son and daughter-in-law just got off the Glory and said it was so difficult to navigate after a week they still couldn't find their way around.

It has a great layout. Every deck goes thru. No up and down.

I'd interpreted it as "Dear Wife," or dear whatever relation: daughter (DD), son (DS), husband (DH), etc...

Sorry folks my review will have to wait until sat. as work has reared it's ugly head and I have to to some damage control while eating my words. There were a couple of questios I have time to answer. There were 2 midnight buffets, but I can't remember which nights they were. One was the Grand Gala buffet in the dining room, I didn't go in as the line was a little long. The other was a Mexican buffet on the lido by the pool during the bathrob and beer party. The food was great, the band was playing and it was packed with people having a good time. We did watch the ship go under the Skyway Bridge, it was at 6:15 and was worth missing the dining room for. There is only 6 feet of clearance. In January it will be dark, but is still worth it. We saw it at night on the Miricale in Jan 06. The decor of the ship was interesting, I did not find it ugly or tacky. I liked all the public spaces and the lounges. Satchmoes(sp?) did have wooden benchs in it which looked good but were a bit uncomfortable to sit on.

Have a great day.

Islahoper:

Your making the Legend more interesting to book for our next cruise. That is one ship I have'nt tried out yet. I also will be looking at your reviews tommorrow and on...

One question is could you discuss the guitarist more you enjoyed and was their any other rock music, that's what we love.

Thanks, Cassandra:)

The guitarist in the Casino started around 9:30pm and played to midnight. he had a drum machine and taped back ground music. He was very good and played classic rock, Santana, Mountain, Doors, Zepplin, etc. There was also a rock+roll band in one of the lounges, they played music from 60s and up, they also did a real good job. Through the speakers by the back pool and hot tub they played 70s and 80s rock at a good volume. We spent alot of time out there and everyone in our extended group enjoyed the music.

I have to also echo IslaHopper and Dorothy'sFriend. We were on the same cruise and it was AMAZING! It didn't hurt at all that, except for a short shower in Cozumel, the weather was picture perfect. The staff was engaging, our fellow passengers great, and our trip absolutely wonderful. Legend is a great ship and we found it very easy to get around.
