Experience with balconies that stick out?

Anyone have experience with these? There's one available on Pride of America for me that is the front-most one on the aft "hump" -- where the ship widens. So it looks like I'd be able to look forward better than one of the balconies that are flush with the side of the ship.

The similar cabin numbers on POA are 8168, 8668, 9166, 9666, 10648, 10148. Can anyone comment on if the view is really better? I'd be on the "wrong" side of the ship to take this one -- Starboard on a Hawaii cruise where most advise to go port. All the port cabins that are available are "flush" so I want to see if this "stick out" is worth it...

Thanks!
