Leaving in one week for a Southbound Alaska Cruise. Other than your own balcony, where is the best place to see the sites on the ship?

Best thing to do is listen to the onboard naturalist...you can listen to her announcements and she'll give you and idea where to look for stuff and you can judge from that.

 

Having said that, I spent a lot of time on our balcony, but also on the sports deck and also the solarium/pool area.
