oops, my bad, misread your post. :o

The "official" estimate according to the link below is $76.90 for a one way ride from MIA to Port Everglades (estimate only as its a metered ride, not fixed flat rate). The same link shows a shuttle rate of $30 per person.

Is the $10 cab fare from FLL to port per person? Or what is the cost of 2 people? Also, are there any quick places (Walgreens, gro. store) you can get bottled water or softdrinks to take with you and will the cab stop?

What about shuttle van prices from FLL? Are these a better deal?

It will be more like $12 for a taxi, for everyone. There is a $2.00 added fee for cabs leaving the airport. Not on the meter when you return.

If you want to go to Walgreens you will have to take a longer cab ride as he would have to take you up to 17th St and then go into the port by that entrance. So the ride and wait time will be much more than the direct route.

Does anyone know the cost for roundtrip cab from Miami Airport to Port Everglades?

Suggest if your not pushed for time take the Tri Rail from MIA (free shuttle from MIA to Tri Rail terminal the $3.75 ea (less if 65), take it to FT Lauderdale/Dania Beach stop then take the $10 cab to Port Everglades. If however your on a short tie frame the train is noted to be late.

Another option of course is SAS transportation, very good reputation.

It's not a $10 cab ride between FLL and PE - we have done it several times and it was no less than at least $15 every time. Just wanted to mention it so people can budget accordingly.

Yes, probably closer to $15. It depends on which terminal you are going to and whether the driver takes the direct route and if security is backed up or he hits some of the traffic lights.

There have been posts where the driver bypasses the port entrance right off the airport and goes to one of the other two, the farthest being 17th St. But, I guess this happens more frequently on the return trip because of the traffic and confusion.

Just keep in mind, if the driver by-passes the first Port exit when leaving the airport, he is literally taking you for a ride.
