Brooklyn, New York Holiday Inn Express

Have read a lot about the Brooklyn Marriot, but can anyone give me their opinion of the Holiday Inn Express? We have always had good experiences with the Holiday Inn Express in other cities and rooms are less than the Marriot. Our dilemma is that there are no rooms left at the Marriot for under $300 and the Best Western has nothing available for Oct. 5th, so we ended up at the Holiday Inn Express kind of by default. Have booked with the Holiday Inn Express, but can cancel if this is truly a bad choice.

Its on Union Street and 3rd Avenue...industrial area(as in car repairs) right around the corner from Two Toms resturant and down the slope from park slope. Right near a subway stop too....but I haven't stayed there. Limited parking.
