kt0331 Posted August 1, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2007 Cruising out of Philadelphia for the first time in September on the Empress of the Seas. Have always flown to a cruise in the past - this time we're driving. Any info on the luggage process in Philadelphia?? Have been accustomed to putting luggage on trucks and not seeing it until later in the day. Not sure what how they handle it when you drive and park at the port. Any info?? rianvi Posted August 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2007 We are driving to Philly next week to board the Empress on August 11th to Bermuda. We have been told that you can pull up to the drop off area unload your luggage, porters are there and then the driver can park the car and take the shuttle back. If anyone can tell me how boarding the ship is in Philly. My Mom has a walker and I was wondering how far the walk is and how to they get wheel chairs on the ship if we decide to go that route. Thanks. Peace Anna
nitnee Posted August 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2007 Yes, you can drop bags off, and driver can park car and take a shuttle back...ten bucks a day, and it is a very smooth operation. website is www.cruisephilly.com
