Jewel excursions

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of the best and most economical way to see Rome, Florence, and Messina. In Rome I want to see the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's, Coloseum and Pantheon. In Messina I want to see Taormina beach and Mt. Etna.

We're off on this very cruise in three weeks time! I can't wait. When are you going?

I found this company http://www.prestigerent.com/TOURS_FOR_CRUISERS.htm and after a couple of e-mails they responded. They offer pretty much the same excursions as NCL at roughly the same price but we will be doing private tours at our own pace. Touring with a coach load of folk can be quite limiting so the personal touch should be good.

To be honest, I have been researching these European tours for a while and they are all quite expensive (compared with others I have done in the US). You just have to splash out and get in as many of the sights as you can.
