Which Tour Is Best For Workings Of Of The Locks

My husband has done 4 partial transits and 1 complete transit. However, he has never taken a tour which shows the actual workings of the locks. We are on a partial transit again in November and I would love for him to see the workings of the locks. He has read "The Path Between Two Seas" and is very interested in seeing the actual workings of the Panama Canal.

So, which would give him the best viewing of the working of the locks?? Portobelo Market/Panama Canal?? The Canal Experience?? or Panama City/Casco Antiguo?? We are sailing on HAL Volendam in November.

Thanks for any advise (or pics if you have them :D)

Sorry can't address any of those tours directly but to see more of how the locks works you would be better to take any tour that includes Miraflores Locks. Gatun and Miraflores both provide excellent views of the lock operation. Miraflores has a museum associated with the viewing area and there is plenty there to help you understand how things work.
