Which side of ship for Athens to Venice Crusie

Hard to say. Obviously, you'll want to be on the starboard side (i.e., right-hand as you face forward on the ship) for general purposes of watching the scenery go by since you're traveling northward along the coastline which is to the east of you. However, which side will be better for watching activity in individual ports is entirely dependent upon where the ship docks or is moored. That will be dependent upon how much traffic is already in the harbor on the day you arrive and where it is docked or moored. Impossible to know in advance.
