4x4 Jeep in St. Maarten? Snorkeling?

Has anyone done the 4x4 Jeep tour in St. Maarten? We are going September 2008 on RC Mariner of the Seas and are wondering whether to take the Jeep tour in St. Maarten or St. Thomas.

 

Also, which island has the best snorkeling - St. Thomas or St. Maarten?

 

We can't decide between the 4x4 Jeep, Shipwreck Snorkel, Kayak & Snorkel or Tiki Hut Snorkel? Has anyone done any of these?

 

We would appreciate any feedback you can give us.

Just got back from a Carnival Cruise and did this excursion in St. Maarten. We did not have the greatest experience. Would not recommend, especially for the price charged. Very stressful. We complained to Carnival about it.

Snorkeling is best on St. Thomas/St. John. We don't even bring our snorkel gear off the ship on St. Martin, but make a relaxing beach day of it.

what was very stressful? The jeep excursion? We are considering that for our cruise in March, but I am not sure.

Can you give me a little more info? What was so stressful about the Jeep excursion? Why did you feel it was not worth the money?
