Don't expect the pool to be filled in Feb?

The climate in the Bahamas and the Caribbean is warm enough to swim all year round.

Bahamas twice in February and both times I thought the water was freezing.

We went to the Bahamas this past Feb on the Sensation -- it was cold (60 degrees) and overcast every day but one the last day. The Bahamians all had jackets on and said how rare it was. The last day was in the 70s and sunny. There definitely were kids in the pool the entire cruise...the adults were too chicken :)

Just the luck of the draw...

in feb we boarded elation from port canaveral. it was sooooooooo cold, we cld see our breath the night b/4 in disney and, the pools were open when we boarded the next morning.

if the pool was closed for part of the time on your friend's cruise, it had to be for some reason other than cold weather. they close the slides w/ winds, i believe, but not the pool simply b/c it's cold on embarkation.
