Snorkeling in Samana

We will be cruising in Nov. on the Grandeur with a stop in Samana. Has anyone been on a snorkeling excursion there? DH wants to snorkel with DS and DD in St Thomas, but the kids have never cruised and might want to explore the Island. Doing both in St Thomas might be cutting it close time wise. If Samana has decent snorkeling, it would help with a decision.

St. Thomas has much better snorkeling than Samana.
