Fairfield Inn - Texas City

Does anyone know anything about this hotel? I booked it for the night before our sailing on Sept 3rd. I appreciate any input just in case I need to make a change.

As a local, I haven't stayed there. If this is the location at I-45 and Lowery Expressway, however, it is quite new and very convenient to the freeway to Galveston (I-45). It is located next to a mall with several restaurants in close proximity.

Don't forget the Gulf Greyhound Park Clearlake. The Club actually serves very good food at reasonable prices if you like parimutuel betting. You're also close enough to drive into Galveston to look around and have dinner in the Strand Historic District across from the cruise terminal.

It's also in a safe area. My mom's sister always stays at this Fairfield when she visits our area.

Since this is our first cruise and first trip to Galveston, we hope to arrive early enough to go do a little sight seeing on Sunday.

DW and I live right down the street. I've had dozens of friends and business associates stay here. All have had good experiences. You are close to Galveston very convenient location. We will be aboard ship with you. Hope to see you there. Let me know if you have any other questions.
