These folks can speak english...but you need not worry as mentioned above the destination and the fare cost are set before you even lkeave the airport...you pre-arrange you destination and cost at the taxi station just outside of baggage claim it works like a charm...we had 14 in our group last mmarch when we stayed at the mirmar and we needed 2 large vans to get us all there and way tooooooo much luggage...some of us must have brought the kitchen sink...i think we had 7 in each cab with luggage fiklled to the brim in each van and the cost came to about 35 per van...and then it was up to you if you wanted to give a tip...thje service was so good we hired on of the guys to take us to the pier the next morning and he brought along a buddy who had a bigger van...so getting to the pier was even easier...they picked us up at the hotel at 10:45 and we were on the ship by 11:20...IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM..ENJOY YOUR TRIP...

We stayed at the Embassy Suites, not sure about the cost, we used our hotel points, has a nice casino, won a little $$, food was excellent in the resturant, only drank bottled water. Cab driver spoke very good english and was very nice

We are using hotel points for our stay as well. We can choose the Hilton Caribe or the Embassy Suites. We will be staying 2 nights pre and 1 night post.

Posts have said the food at the Hilton is very expensive, so I am leaning more toward the Embassy Suites. Is the pool area nice? The Hilton does have a beach but I mainly will be working on a tan so the beach isn't that big of deal. Is there anything within walking distance- restaurants, shopping?
