what is pirate night like??

When we went it was a blast!! the waiters dressed up in pirate type costumes we all got bandana and special menus (sutiable for framing) at dinner, after dinner their was a deck party with fireworks and a pirate repelled off of the smoke stack, granted this was years ago so it could have changed but it was such fun we loved it!

We will be going on our 8th Disney cruise in three months. Pirate nights are great for both kids and the "older" kids.

 

It was not on a formal night when we cruised.

Definitely NOT formal night because a HUGE majority of cruisers will be dressed in pirate attire. We always pack the pirate clothes. The menus will go along with the theme. It's a big dance party on deck with pirates and the characters, the band plays with dancing, and it's topped off with fireworks and a late night buffet. It's nothing INCREDIBLE taking place, just a lot of "MAGIC". Dress up, it's fun!

 

On the Western, I think it's usually on Cozumel night. My daughter still tells me it was the best day of her life.
