Just looking at some real bargains on AOS- balcony rooms available on the sailing I'm interested in- Southern Caribbean- can someone who has sailed recently in a balcony tell me if Port or Starboard is best for views when coming into harbors?- On this itinerary- leaving from San Juan- St Thomas- St Maarten- Aruba- Curacao. Thanks:confused:

We always book our cabin on the starboard side. For this itinerary, the starboard affords great views of the majority of the islands, with the exception only of Aruba (the view is of the sea).

We were on the port side in March, we saw Aruba, Curacao and St. Maarten. I think it depends on if the Captain pulls in or backs in. In St. Thomas he backed in. Have a great cruise on the AOS, we loved it:o

We try to always book the port side. It depends entirely on how the captain docks but we have found on many, many ports the port side is the most interesting. However neither view will be unpleasant.
