Back to Back Cruising

Recommended Posts

If you are changing rooms, yes you pack up but no, you don't have to take your luggage off the ship. Your room steward will help you move to your new stateroom once it is ready.

Someone from the staff will give you complete instructions a few days before the end of the first cruise. It all goes very smoothly.

Yes, you have to go through US Customs. And because your staterooms are different you have to go through the boarding process, have your documents checked, and new Seapass cards issued. Usually someone from ship will walk you through Customs and embarkation.

When doing a b2b,the boarding process for the second week is the same no matter if you have the same cabin or are changing cabins.

Midway through the first week, you will receive a letter from Guest Relations giving you all the information for turn around day. You should receive your new SeaPass cards the night before the end of the first week. Make sure you have these on you because sometimes they will change the room code the night before the end of the first week and your SeaPasses from the week before will not work. It has happened to us.

You will not need a SetSail Form for the following week because GR will have a list of those pax staying on and doing a b2b. You will have to reverify your CC though for the second week, but this can be done at GR. All first week credits and charges on your old account are closed after the completion of your first cruise. There is no carryover.

On turn around day, you need to eat breakfast at the time that all disembarking passengers are. All pax staying on board for the second week will be told to meet in a specific area, where, after all pax have left, you will be escorted off the ship, through C&I and then reboard the ship, going through the same procedure as the prior week with inserting SeaPass into machine and having your picture taken.

If you have a different cabin each week, it's just a matter of moving your things from one cabin to another. The cabin stewards are most helpful in making this transition very easy.
