Once onboard can reservations for anytime dining be made ahead of time ?

Yes. When there are more than just the two of us DH calls in the morning and reserves for that evening. If there are just two of us we sometimes eat any time in the buffet or take our chances in the dining room.

Once we've found a wait team we like, we reserve the same team , table, & time for the rest of the week. (I know, I know this defeats the purpose of anytime dining but we are usually waitlisted for traditional even though we book 16-12 months out.)

We were able to get a standing reservation for the week for our large party but at first we were told we had to call each day. After the second day, they made it permanent.

 

Others have reported that you can only get reservations for early or late times and not at the peak times.

We have done that for a larger group and it worked out great, when it is just DH and I we just show up and have never had a long wait.

On CB in July I was told that reservations could only be made for 5:30-6:30 and 7:30-8:30. It was very difficult to get a table around 6:30 on formal nights.
