Just booked my Caribbean cruise for January 27th !!!! We are flying in the night before so I am looking for an very reasonable priced hotel close to pier area and if possible shuttle from airport and to pier. Any one have any suggestions !

Because the airport and port are so close to each other, don't base your choice of hotel on free shuttle. Pick a hotel you like because a cab will be cheap to either from the immediate area.

The shared ride shuttle charges from $9 to $15 per person to the Ft.Lauderdale area hotels. Cab fares from the airport start at $10 (minimum). Cabs to the SE 17th St hotels run $12-$14. From there to the pier is usually under $10. All fares are metered.

FLL Hilton= Free ride from airport to hotel, then $8 to the pier from hotel in a van. Hilton is maybe 1-2 miles from pier and FLL.

Amerisuite on 17th st will shuttle you from airport to hotel and then to pier the next day- free.

Taxi from the ship to the airport last summer was $13 plus tip.

Some of our group stayed at the amerisuites and were disappointed in March saying it looked very "tired". We stayed at the HIEX and it was beautiful. Airport shuttle, great new beds with lovely linens, delicious breakfast, well worth the money. Try it.
