Taxi Cab from Pier to Marco Polo Airport

Does anybody know if it is easy to catch a taxi cab when getting off the ship and how much it would cost to the airport?

Looked easy to catch a cab two years ago. We had a limo waiting for a bit more...45E? Easy to arrange online. Quicker and cheaper for two than the ships (HAL) bus.

The bus was fairly easy for us. BUT...our cruise line wanted $13 each just to get from the pier to Piazzale Roma where the buses pick you up. The free port shuttle bus never showed up so we walked, wheeling our luggage, over the bridge to Piazzale Roma to catch a bus to the airport area. I can't believe they were going to charge us $26. just for that short ride (less than 1/2 mile!!) and you had to wait for the whole bus to fill. (We beat the bus I saw loading before we left the port!!)

We are in a night early. So we are going to take the bus from Marco Polo to Piazzale Roma. I think the walk to the Hotel will be less than half a mile.

Then the walk to the ship the next day.
