Seven Mile Beach Web Cam

This link is to a web cam at the reef grill on Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. It looks like a beautiful sunset at the moment. You can watch how things change tomorrow as long as it is still able to connect to the internet. I'm hoping it is able to stay up all day, but I admit this is unlikely. :(

*note, it's an active X webcam so you will need to allow it to run.

 

You can also go to http://www.reefgrill.com and navigate to webcams if you have security concerns. You will still be prompted to run the active x control to display the web cam.

According to the time stamp it is showing yesterdays (Saturdays' images) beach shots, not the current conditions.

It's been down all day. A few of the port cams were up earlier. I haven't checked them recently, however.

It is back up and opperational ... the live Cam looks like overcast and cloudy (as expected) but not a lot of damage ... granted it look seaward ....

This site has really good shots updated every 3 mins and you can view last 10 shots covering 30 mins.

The top camera is working and you can see that they've cleared all the tables and chairs away on the terrace. The sea looks very rough and the sky dark. I saw a large group (15-20 of them?) of youngsters sitting on the wall, but a security guard came and moved them on.

 

It looks very different from 3 weeks ago when we were there.

 

Hope Grand Cayman stands up to the hurricane without too much damage.

I just looked at the web cam again, 2:30 pm EDT. The Reef Grill patio is cleaned up, the tables, chairs and umbrellas are out and the sun is shinning! :eek:

Thanks for the web link. Looks good to, just in time for the folks cruising next week. The Cayman Islands is some places I've always wanted to visit so I am especially grateful that Dean didn't hit the island head on. :)
