Jeano222 Posted August 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2007 I agree, taxi would be economical as you can see the airport from the port, can't be more than 2 miles.
JLC@SD Posted August 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2007 Here is how close......we are on the stern of the Ryndam......and you can see the airport control tower is the distance....;)
Splinter Posted August 22, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 22, 2007 I doubt if you will be able to get 6 people and all their luggage in one cab. You might want to check into using a shuttle. I recommend Cloud 9. With 6 people you would likely get it by yourself, and regardless, from the airport to the ship you would undoubtably be the first stop: http://www.cloud9shuttle.com/
senator6 Posted August 23, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2007 I would second cloud 9, we used them last December and were very happy with them.

Susie51 Posted August 26, 2007 #8 Share Posted August 26, 2007 San Diego is set up well for cruisers. It is also a very nice city to stay in precruise. The zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park, ect.
SueCruz Posted September 2, 2007 #9 Share Posted September 2, 2007 With 6 people, 2 taxis are still cheaper than Cloud 9 which charges $8-9 pp. A taxi is less than $10. Also, there are often vans that are taxis which could accomodate your party.
