dougnliz Posted August 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2007 In September we will be stopping at these ports and would like to snorkle off the beaches if possible as we are new to snorkling. Also, are there any beach shops for equipment (fins and vests) and any lockers for your personal items?
vermonter16 Posted September 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2007 I'd like any info on this too!
JP32 Posted September 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2007 I have never been to either place but I'm going in Nov. and I read that Brewer's Bay and Smuggler's Cove are very good places to snorkel on Tortola. Darkwood beach on Antigua.
Susie51 Posted September 12, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2007 How do you get to the beaches? Are they within walking didtance form the ship on Tortola?
4gomez Posted September 15, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2007 You take a cab (right at the pier) for a negotiated fee there and back to Brewers Bay. VERY steep and winding roads. Even if the water is rough, the beach will be almost empty and you will think you were in heaven. It's also a plus to have a beach bar and beach chairs also.
